Guest Relation Officer

Job Description:
  • Represent the hotel in a positive manner on and off duty.
  • Greets arriving guests and bids them farewell.
  • Work with receptionist to monitor bellman and driver.
  • Check in guest and assist receptionist and check-out when needed.
  • Up to date on hotel information, services and activities.
  • Daily update VIP guest and return guest.
  • Weekly update arrival VIPs and group to all Head of Department.
  • Check arrival room status daily.
  • Work with receptionist to arrange daily amenity and VIP request.
  • Conduct room inspection for guest.
  • Stay up-to-date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each.
  • Review the room rates, room location, and types of room.
  • Co-ordinate with all related Department in order to handle any special requests.
  • Develop knowledge about other departments, other services and hours or operation in the hotel.
  • GRO attends promptly to customers' inquiries and assists them with their needs.
  • Handle complaint effectively; log the day's activities in a logbook to ensure that the next person on duty is familiar with everything that needs extra attention.  
  • Always be present in the hotel lobby and should maintain proper decorum at all times.
  • Promotes all the facilities of the hotel and knows the surrounding areas when asked for directions. Should also be familiar with the best places to tour, shop and dine.
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them (Risk Management).
  • Attend all assigned training programs.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures.
  • Help to minimize wastage, neglect, breakage and mishandling of equipment and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as maybe assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education                    :           College Graduate.
  • Certification                 :           Certification in Front Office operation (preferred but not required).
  • Experience                   :           Minimum 1-year supervisor experience in Front Office operation
  • Other                           :           Knowledgeable of Front Office computer system; strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English/ Chinese/ Korean.
