My Khe beach

With a coastline of 35km long from Hai Van Pass to Non Nuoc, Da Nang is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in Vietnam.

1. When is the reasonable time to visit My Khe. 

You can visit My Khe at anytime of the year. However, the best time is from June to August on which the weather is cool, not too hot as in summer, suitable for swimming and other games. 

2. Transportation

You can travel by coach, motorbike or train.

+ Flight: There are approximately 20 direct flights every day from Hanoi to Da Nang International Airport. (Note that there is no direct Hanoi to Hoi An flight option). The airlines that service Hanoi to Da Nang International Airport are:

Vietnam Airlines

JetStar Pacific (cheapest option)

Hanh Air Systems

Viet Jet Air.

+ Train: An interesting experience is to travel by train in Vietnam. Traveling by train from Hanoi to Da Nang (or the train from Danang to Hanoi) takes about 16-17 hours. Night trains are comfortable ( with soft bed option), and you can buy food and snacks on your travel. There are 6 trains every day on Vietnam Railways from Hanoi to Da Nang. A one-way train ticket costs about US$20-30. Foreigners typically prefer to indulge in the luxury trains: Violette Train and Livitrans Express, where you can grab a private berth for around $80-90.

3. Cuisine

+ Seafood: there are various of seafood that you cannot miss on the trip to Bai Chay such as: lobster, crab, sea-fish, oyster, shell-fish, etc. All of them are processed many tasty dishes.

+ Specialities: dipped squid, peanut worms (sá sùng), gat gu cake, fermented pork roll, HoanhBo fermented sticky rice, ..

4. Attractions 

Being a self-sufficient traveler, you should not forget well-known sites like Ba Na Hill, Hoian town, My Son
